The course of study at Sligo Adventist School covers eight years, divided into the Elementary School (grades K-5) and the Middle School (grades 6-8). The school’s curriculum is determined by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists and requirements of the State of Maryland. The school provides full- and part-time instruction in the following areas: - The Basics – reading, language arts (including writing), mathematics, science, and social studies
- Fine Arts – art, music theory, organizations for band, hand bells, strings, choir and Spanish
- Physical Education – individual and team
- Library Science – a part-time librarian directs our school library of more than 10,000 volumes
- Computer Literacy – all students receive hands-on experience in the computer lab. In addition each classroom is equipped with one or more computers
