One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
The most important one, "answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:28-31
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Hello, my name is Karri McFadden! I love my job as the Reading Specialist teacher for Sligo. Previous to my current position I taught Second grade and Kindergarten respectively. I currently teacher part-time as a the Reading Specialist and enjoy being a mother to a new born. I have been teaching at Sligo since 2002.
I have a BA in Liberal Studies - Elementary Education from La Sierra University and a MS in Education - Reading from John Hopkins University. In addition to my academic preparation for teaching.
Outside of teaching my time is spent sewing, reading, traveling, taking pictures, and baking. I enjoy being active and participating in the occasional race.
My greatest prayer is that my students will come to know and accept the love that God has for them. My goal is to send them to third grade with the academic, social and spiritual tools they need to continue to grow and be successful.
